to Didsbury Village Day Nursey
Please read Our Philosophy and Our History below to learn more about what has set us apart since 1995...
We understand how hard it is to leave your child in the hands of others and how much trust is required to do so. Choosing the right nursery is, therefore, a very important and difficult decision. 'If only your children could choose...' is our motto because we are one of the few nurseries who genuinely always put the children's needs first. This is our promise to parents and the foundation of everything that we do.
Our passion for quality childcare is reflected in every aspect of our service: the quality of our staff, our high staff to child ratios, our very high standards of education and Early Learning Journeys, and our commitment to serving locally sourced organic food.
As a result, word-of-mouth reputation is our only form of 'marketing' and this alone has ensured that over the years, not only has the nursery cared for many children from the local area, but also resulted in parents wanting to bring their children here from further afield.
We are dedicated to our quality to the extent that we have chosen to remain small enough to guarantee the standards that define us. For us, it’s the personal relationships with the children and their parents, and the knowledge that we are giving children in our care the best start in life, that are the greatest rewards.
Didsbury Village Day Nursery was established in 1995 by Sheila and Richard Seed. After 17 years of experience teaching early years age groups in schools as a B.Ed. professional, Sheila was not satisfied with the quality of childcare available in the area and so set out to create a nursery with standards so high that she herself would be happy to leave her own child there.
This is the underlying principle upon which the nursery was built and has remained. We only want to employ nursery professionals who share our philosophy and passion for quality childcare, only this way can we continue to serve generations of children in the community to the same high standards.
