Partnership with

Parents

From their very first day, parents notice the extent to which the staff team really get to know their child. We want to work closely with all parents to share as much information as possible about their child's progress, interests and activities outside of nursery, as this greatly helps us to effectively support their development.

It is very important to us that parents feel able to discuss their child’s progress with staff whenever they want to. We have very thorough daily systems of information sharing and maintain a continuous informal dialogue, supported by regular parents’ meetings. The manager also has an open door policy to all parents and additional meetings/conversations with her can be arranged at any time.

Monthly newsletters also help parents to keep abreast of upcoming themes and topics, activities, events, staff changes, trips and visits. These are both emailed to parents and uploaded into the Parents' Area of our website. All of our policies and procedures, detailing how the nursery is run, are also located in the Parents' Area. Parents can log into this at any time to view uploaded documents, send us messages or give feedback. We routinely ask parents for feedback regarding every aspect of our service and welcome any information that can help us to continuously improve your and your children's experience of the nursery.

"I really like to hear about his day. I think when you hear individual stories about your child, it makes you feel that the staff really know them and look after them as individuals"
